My hope is You…show me Your ways

My freetime is in great abundance and will be for the next month or so while I am recovering from shoulder surgery. Today, is day three and cabin fever is settling in and bringing with it the nudging to be discontent. I refuse to be ruled by my fleshly desires and instead focus on the greater purpose of God during this time.  I was reminded of what this focus should look like today while listening to my Third Day Offerings cd.  The song is titled My Hope is You:

 

To you, O Lord, I lift my soul
In you, O God, I place my trust
Do not let me be put to shame
Nor let my enemies triumph over me

 

My hope is you
Show me your ways
Guide me in Truth
In all my days
My hope is you

 

 

 

I am, O Lord, filled with your love
You are, O God, my salvation
Guard my life and rescue me
My broken spirit shouts
My mended heart cries out…

 

So as my body physically mends, I am going to use this time to read and study the word so that I will trust like Proverbs 3:5-6

 

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.

*Probably will not be many posts here because typing with one hand takes a great deal longer
